A shadow drawn across the sky,
in darkness clothed I know not why,

Ever trapped, entombed in shade,
never freed, my memories fade,
Forever more to walk alone,
eternal darkness now my home,
Reminded of a time long gone,
no sign of light as once it shone,
Along this path I travel still,
no joy or love my heart to fill,
Denied that which could never be,
except in dream and fantasy,
Secluded here without you near,
I drift away and shed a tear.
