Sunday is here and I have another quote for your enjoyment…
“If you know what you are going to write when you’re writing a poem, it’s going to be average.”
I have to say that this one really hit home with me as I’m more often than not unaware of where a poem will end when I start it and I’m genuinely less happy with the outcome on pieces that I’ve pushed towards a preconceived ending.
