Poetry can be too clear

Morning one and all!
Here we stand at the same of a another weekend and so to rises another quote for your enjoyment.
“A poet dares be just so clear and no clearer…. He unzips the veil from beauty, but does not remove it. A poet utterly clear is a trifle glaring.”
I very much identify with this, in both the works I produce and those that I read. Specifically with my work I’ve always been a strong believer in being very clear on the emotion in a piece but less so on the inspiration or source of that emotion.
What do you think though?
