Poetic Marmite

Morning everyone!
Hoping you all have a fantastic and fun filled weekend ahead, I’m in Wales enjoying the company of a dear friend as well as the amazing scenery. 🙂
I came across this quote today and thought it interesting enough to share-
“Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you – like music to the musician or Marxism to the communist – or else it is nothing, an empty, formalised bore, around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations”
By the fact you’re reading this post I would imagine you all connect more with the first part of that statement, but I think there is a lot of truth to the almost “Marmite” quality of poetry- you either love and connect with a piece or you hate/feel nothing for it.
