Being misunderstood

Morning all!
Hope the weekend is treating you well thus far.
I came across this quote earlier today and wanted to share it with you; I can certainly connect with the sentiment, as I’m sure many writers and poets do-
“The worst tragedy for a poet is to be admired through being misunderstood.
One of our greatest fears in life is to present our most intimate and private thoughts and to have the meaning completely lost on the reader.
All we can hope is that a few will see what lies beneath the words- and as long as at least one person connects with your work then that makes it all worthwhile, I think.
Wouldn’t you agree?
